About Godfrey “Alindi” Alindi

I’m a telecom and technology professional who enjoys making complex things work in the real world. Over the past decade, I’ve worked across the African continent on projects at the intersection of network deployment, project management and emerging technologies.

From leading greenfield rollout efforts with aggressive timelines, to embedding health and safety into daily operations, to exploring practical applications of AI and machine learning, my work is grounded in execution, resilience and impact.

Today, I’m particularly interested in how AI, connectivity and sustainable infrastructure can be combined to build systems that genuinely improve people’s lives — whether in telecom, transport, agritech or holistic wellbeing.

Safaricom Ethiopia – Greenfield Telecom Rollout

  • Coordinated radio, transmission and core rollout activities in a new market.
  • Helped establish scalable processes for deployment, acceptance and optimisation.
  • Championed health & safety standards across field operations.
  • Contributed to taking the network from zero to nationwide live service.
